The paralegal performs various legal tasks under the supervision of attorneys, including conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.


Our Program

Merritt offers several options: Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies (includes General Education requirements) and Certificate of Achievement (major courses only—just 27 units)!

Classes are taught by instructors with many years of experience as attorneys.

Students are well prepared for the workplace by taking classes such as law office management, legal research and writing, tort law, estate planning and probates, and a paralegal internship.
